2- Day Hiking Tour - Altos de Lircay National Reserve

We start the 270 km panoramic trip on a premium bus from Santiago to Talca, where we will drive up to get to know a typical restaurant for trying the local gastronomy.

After dining, we proceed 70 Km / 44 Miles to the National Reserve Altos de Lircay (Vilches)  situated in the mountainous sector of the Maule region. After arrival in Vilches, we make a quick pit stop at our cabin where we will drop off our equipment, and start our first leg of the hike (3 hours) to explore and enjoy the beautiful native forest, viewpoints, rivers and waterfalls. After finishing the excursion, we go back to our cabin and have a typical Chilean barbeque accompanied by the spectacular night sky.

The following morning we rise with the sun and start our second leg of the hike (7 hours) towards mountains through the reserve with an almost untouched, dense vegetation, mountains, volcanoes, lakes and small crossing rivers. You will be able to appreciate this amazing nature from viewpoints rising up to 2000m / 6500 ft above sea level, as well as flora and fauna particular to the region. After finishing our hike, we will start our journey back to Santiago with a new appreciation for the nature and culture of a less known part of Chile.
