See Santiago highlights, local markets, hot spots and drive up to the beautiful Chilean Pacific coastline!
Day 1: Santiago Highlights
On the 1st day's tour of Santiago , you will get to discover the city center highlights, parks and local sights. The tour includes a small walk in the city center where we explore the lively streets, local markets and monuments. You will explore the history, culture and way of living of the Chileans!
The first stop of the city tour is the Presidential palace La Moneda and the Constitución Square; places that hide stories through the years of the military coup in Chile. We cross over to the oldest street in Santiago (New York Street), and then walk through the commercial center until arriving in the main square: Plaza de Armas, where we give you a brief introduction to the history of Santiago and the importance of the place.
Our next visit takes us to the Local Fish Market - Central Market, to enjoy the traditional gastronomy, seafood & fish over lunch. After dining, we continue our adventure to the most traditional bar in Santiago: La Piojera, where we get to explore their specialty “earthquake”.
Next, we get to explore the main fruit and vegetable market: Tirso de Molina, after finishing our city tour in the downtown area we will go up the San Cristobal Hill where you can enjoy excellent views over the city.
Day 2: Chile's coastline: Concon, Viña del Mar and Valparaiso
We begin our journey toards Chile´s coastline with first stop at the Concón Sand Dunes, where we see a panoramic viewpoint over the three most important cities of the region: Concón, Viña del Mar and Valparaiso.
We continue our tour, travelling along the coastline (25 Km / 15 Miles), starting from Concón towards Viña del Mar. We will visit Viña del Mar´s famous Flower Clock and the Viña del Mar casino. We will continue another 5 Km / 3 Miles until we arrive in Valparaíso, where we will enjoy a nice lunch at a typical seafood or other optional restaurant of the area.
After lunch, visit the main square: Plaza Sotomayor and the Valparaíso port. After, We will do a small walking tour to get better in touch with the culture, art, and the surrounds. This way being able to observe how the local people live, the commerce and some of the main viewpoints of the city.
We finish our day trip at the viewpoint: Mirador Paseo 21 de Mayo, find typical Chilean handicrafts and enjoy one of the best views over Valparaiso port.
