This Bike Tour to San Cristobal Hill and the Metropolitan Park is a recreational bike ride offering the best views over the city. The tour includes a cable car ride up to San Cristobal hill, followed by a 1 hour bike ride down the Metropolitan Park routes and the main bike paths of the modern part of the city.
We start the tour at Huaso Tours Offices: El Comendador 2060, and begin to pedal alongside the cycle paths, until making our way to the San Cristobal hill access (Pedro de Valdivia). We place our bikes in the bike rack, and hop on the cable car, allowing us to see great views of the city and its mountains until we reach the San Cristobal hill summit at 880 meters / 2900 ft.
After having reached the hilltop, we will do a small stop at Mirador Terraza Bellavista; a lookout point, letting us enjoy excellent views over Santiago – here we will give you safety instructions to help us be prepared for the descent. The ride down the hill is the most entertaining part of the tour (30-40 minutes) allowing us to lift up the speed and glide down the paved roads surrounded by the San Cristobal hill, while appreciating panoramic views over all sides of the city.
We continue our descent to connect with a route through Vitacura & Providencia neighborhood parks, until making our way to the financial district "Sanhattan" and the famous Bicentennial Park.
We ride back (down the hill) along the cycle ways and parks, until we get back to the starting point Huaso Tours Offices in Pedro de Valdivia Norte.
