This recreational bike tour takes you to pedal through the modern areas of Santiago de Chile, where we ride alongside the extensive network of parks and bike paths bordering the Mapocho River.
*The return journey of this tour includes an optional 30 min bike ride up the hill along the Metropolitan Park trails, with a 1 hour ride down the hill (paved roads), enjoying the bike paths back to our starting point Baquedano.*
We start this tour at Huaso Tours Offices: El Comendador 2060, and begin to pedal towards eastern Santiago, until making our way to the Sculpture Park; an outdoor museum for Latin American sculpture arts. We will make a short stop to enjoy the views and have some water.
We continue our tour passing by the Costanera Center, and “Sanhattan” the Financial District of Santiago, until we make our way to the Bicentennial Park trails, where we get to enjoy the great cycling routes as well as the lagoons, koi fish, black necked swans and flamingos.
The return journey offers us two route options: Biking alongside the parks and bike paths next to Mapocho river (Difficulty: Easy), and for more experienced riders: the Santiago Metropolitan Park Trails (Difficulty: Intermediate). This route includes a 30 min uphill ride towards the San Cristóbal hill, and after a relaxed downhill ride, accompanied by a great view of the city. We will ride down the bike paths of Providencia neighborhood back to our starting point.
