We meet up next to the ticket selling point at La Moneda Metro Station, and start our walking tour with first stop at the Presidential Palace La Moneda and the Constitution Square. Here we tell you about the history of this important place; the years of dictatorship as well as the current situation in Chile.
We continue our journey towards one of the oldest streets in Santiago (Calle Nueva York) hiding the magic of ancient Chile, and after walk through the commercial center of the city until making our way to the main square: Plaza de Armas.
In Plaza de Armas, we give you an introduction to the history of Santiago and after visit the Santiago Cathedral. We also get to observe the Mapuche monument, the street artists - paintings, and the historical buildings like the Central Post Office, Municipality of Santiago and the National History Museum.
Our next stop takes us to Santiago Fish Market: Central Market. Observe the Chilean gastronomy together with the local market vendors selling the fresh fish and seafood from the Chilean Pacific.
We continue our adventure towards the oldest bar of Santiago: La Piojera, to discover their specialty “earthquake”, and after cross the Mapocho river and visit a typical fruit & vegetable market: Tirso de Molina.
Next, we take a local transport ~ 2 Km / 1.3 Miles to get to the Bellas Artes - Fine Arts district to enjoy the Santiago Fine Arts Museum and the vivid Lastarria neighborhood where we will finish our walking tour.
